It just occurred to me that I will have taken about three weeks to blog through our one week in Rome, while it took about two days to blog our first trip to Paris, also a week. I'm going to have to speed this up since we still have another four years to get through..



We spent the next day focused on the neighborhoods on either side of the Tiber river. We started at the very lively foodmarket at Campo de Fiore. The area was chiefly used by the pope to burn heretics, but nowadays it's a huge outdoor market. We got there early and grabbed some breakfast from the stalls, then walked around the narrow medieval streets.
