While I had assumed I'd have to be carried back to the room after the Prado, since the museum visit was such a comparative success, we decided to press our luck and visit the adjacent Botanical Gardens. I enjoyed this, because it was very small so it only took about twenty minutes to visit. If I were alone it would have taken about five minutes, but Somchai loves this sort of thing. Actually as we walked past pretty much any plant, Somchai would lovingly observe that if his mother were here, she'd be stealing the plant to use in some special Thai dish.
