The interior spaces are well thought out, with some playful New York references. The high ceilings and subdued lighting give it a very relaxed feel and a cool vibe without being anything close to cutting edge. The coolness is reinforced by the goodlooking, well-dressed doormen who will watch you drag your luggage in and out of the hotel and attempt to hail a cab.

As you can see from the room photo, the room does in fact have a phone, which is what I was looking for. Unfortunately it doesn't have much of anything else, like space to walk around, unpack or breathe. So I spent most of the night on the phone in my tiny room, making it about fifty hours without sleep. Soho Grand Hotel overall: 4 (Room: 3, Facilities: 5, Service: 4)
